What have you loved and what have you learnt?
A few things that have really stood out to me this year:
-Our community professional learning day. It was such a great opportunity to grow as a community and learn alongside one another.
-Visiting other Kura within our Kāhui Ako and outside. Seeing other people within their settings and the different teaching and learning that is happening is super inspiring.
-Spending time unpacking our learning and challenging one another in our KIC group.
How have you impacted others? (tamariki, Kaiako)
-Using CoL release to grow as a teacher. Lots of time for reflection, discussion and challenging beliefs.
-Starting to implement coaching across kura, using the learning from 2017.
-Using learning to hopefully make an impact for the learners across our schools

What I've loved:
Hearing other people's learning and learning from them. I loved making connections across the community and connecting with other professionals. I enjoyed nutting out where I was stuck and finding new steps
How I've impacted my learners:
Improved my knowledge of coaching conversations and which has enabled me to take be a coach so that coachees could refine their practise. Helped create a template for different conversations to help our staff feel comfortable having professional conversations so that they could have conversations that use data and leave with a step. Used coaching conversations to check hunches and collect student voice to help me adjust my practice.

What have you loved and what have you learnt?
I have loved having the opportunity to meet other people in this community and to understand the Cambridge community. Being new to this community has given me the chance to better understand it outside my own setting (school). I have loved visiting other schools and seeing what is happening in the classroom. It has also given me the chance to have a little bit more headspace to sink into my inquiry. I have learnt what coaching is and how it works. The community day was a great chance to come together as a whole community and listen to people in our profession (the staff loved that day).
The impact on others:
I have been able to focus a little more on my inquiry which has allowed me the chance to implement new things for my students.

What have you loved and what have you learnt?
I really enjoyed going to Rototuna High, picked up some good ideas about learner agency. Enjoyed all of the coaching information and skills. Learnt more about the teachers and schools in our community. Liked discussing and sharing ideas around what we do and how we do it. While the settings are different sometimes other peoples learning's can be applied to other situations.
How have you impacted others? (tamariki, Kaiako)
Running a Professional Learning Group with 10 teachers from my school based around Coaching has had a positive impact on teachers and ultimately students. Observing the Sports Science teacher at Rototuna and looking at the way he gave students agency around a bio-mechanics unit, allowing them to build prosthetic legs and joints. This enabled my class to engage more in the unit of learning and help lower level students take more ownership

What have you loved and what have you learnt?
I have loved spending time with our group, meeting new people and having the opportunity to discuss things with them. Visiting the different schools that host the meeting and walking around their spaces and learning about their schools. The COL PLD day was great. A huge variety of speakers to choose between and the quality of the speakers was high. Our 'excursion' to Hamilton schools. Looking at their spaces and their learning. I have learnt coaching skills. This is something I would like to further as I was not here for the PD on it in the previous year.
How have you impacted others? (tamariki, Kaiako)
The people I have coached at school have spoken positively about this and the impact the changes they made as a result of these conversations has been beneficial to their tamariki. I feel like our school has had a shift in the feelings/understandings about COL and I think I have helped be a part of this. Helping to instigate the coaching within the school as well as using COL time to give other teachers in teh school opportunities to observe and reflect on other spaces.
Having more time with the coaching and discussions with our KIC group has definitely made me focus on my TAI in more depth this year. I am constantly reflecting on what I do and trying new things in order to benefit my children.

What have you loved and what have you learnt?
Loved hearing from the others in the group about the positives/challenges they are facing. New to coaching but can see the benefit for myself and the person I am coaching. Can really see the difference in the way I look at myself and my students in particular.
I have gained confidence and look more honestly at myself as a person.Going to visit Rototuna Junior High. Seeing the integrating programmes was so beneficial as I came back and integrated more into my programmme - Literacy.
How have you impacted others? (tamariki, Kaiako)
I listen to my students more, now that I am giving them more student voice. They are more confident and having a lot more input into what we are learning. Especially since visiting Rototuna.
Coaching staff/BT. Has helped me reflect more on my own practice.
